Congratulations to the Ladies Scratch Team for winning the Lancashire Golf Women’s Scratch Interclub on Sunday 1st June which was played at Ormskirk Golf Club.
The victorious team of Ellie Curd, Lauren Green, Melissa Ball and Zara Holmes scored an impressive aggregate of 3 over par (comprised of the three lowest gross scores) some 11 shots better than the runners-up. Melissa recorded the best gross score on the day of 1 under par. The team will now progress to the national event for all County winners in Newcastle at the end of August.
Last weekend Lauren won the Lancashire Golf Women’s County Championship 36 hole gross competition hosted by St Annes Old Links with an impressive score of 152 considering the wet and blustery conditions. Melissa reached the semi-finals of the match play knockout whilst Felicity Lamkin won the plate event.
