June 22, 2024 emerged as a summer day remembered from childhood, with azure sky peppered with candy floss clouds and a gentle breeze to cool the frustration of a mediocre golf shot.
The warmth of the Sun was only surpassed by the comfort of knowing the day would end with a lovely meal and an evening’s entertainment by Dominic Bassnet and perhaps a sip or two of wine!
The course had never been more beautiful nor difficult for the wayward ball. The grasses were flowering the skylarks were singing and we were treated to a magnificent links in its readiness for qualifying for the open.
The results of the competition were Best Gross Paul and Jackie Rooney with 86 gross who won the Forbes Cooper bowl.
