Course Open
West Lancashire Ladies
The thriving and active Ladies’ Section of The West Lancashire Golf Club warmly welcomes women of all ages and golfing ability.

West Lancashire LadiesThe main competition day is Tuesday, when we offer a variety of golfing formats from either the longer Red Course, or the new shorter Blue tees. On Sundays and some weekdays, Stableford and Strokeplay competitions are provided for all members of the club, with the choice of evening tee times for those who find that more convenient. Ladies usually get together for food and drink after play, enjoying magnificent views from our first floor. We hold Prize Presentations, Rules Evenings, suppers and social events throughout the year and the Spring and Autumn Meetings culminate in a ladies’ supper. The highlight of the year is our annual, traditional St. Andrew’s Dinner complete with piper and haggis.

There are also five ladies’ teams for those who enjoy more competitive golf. Our Lancashire Shield Scratch, Handicap and Bronze Teams have all enjoyed success over the years and our Seniors team is fortunate to play regularly in a league which includes great neighbouring clubs such as Royal Birkdale, Formby Ladies, S&A and Hillside.

Mixed Golf is a popular feature at the club. Bank Holidays are marked by team or pairs golf followed by very enjoyable social evenings. A Mixed Knockout Tournament runs throughout spring and summer.

We hold a Ladies’ Open and Mixed Team events each year. Application forms can be downloaded from the club website. Do come and play the course. We are sure you will be impressed and will wish to return.

The club offers Beginner Groups for those wishing to get into golf. Expert tuition is given by our Professional and his team and there are excellent practice facilities.

Please contact the club for further details.

Our well drained links offer year round, mud free golf and closures or temporary playing surfaces are almost unheard of. Play at The West Lancashire is truly all year round. A time sheet operates every day but you will have ample opportunity for social golf. Simply check the daily playing schedule either with the Professional or on line before making your booking.

The Club also offers non playing membership which gives access to our clubhouse facilities and activities including the thriving Ladies’ Bridge Section.
