With the Open Championship being held at Royal Liverpool, West Lancashire was asked to host the R&A’s Junior Open which brought together golfers of sixteen years or younger, from more than seventy nations around the world.
Kevin Leblanc (Ireland) overcame tough conditions and some late challenges to win the trophy by one stroke, with a five over par total of 221 for three rounds.
