Final Local Qualifying was again held at West Lancashire for the 141st Open Championship at Royal Lytham St Annes. Stephen Alker (New Zealand) won the event with a two round total of 137.
Another to qualify was Scott Pinckney (USA), who set a professional course record here of 64 strokes.
